Malroz Engineering Inc. offers specialized services in the environmental sector. We recognize that to do this properly requires assembling a broad range of talent, skills and expertise. We draw from our trained and experienced staff to marshal these specialized skills on behalf of our clients. We have recently recruited the following positions:

Environmental Technologist
This position offering is for a fully qualified environmental technologist who will become an integral part of our project delivery team. The anticipated duties of this position include: development and execution of field sampling programs; working with drillers and other contractors; installing, developing, and sampling groundwater wells; collecting field measurements with a variety of on-site instruments and monitors; working with analytical laboratories to determine site characteristics; reviewing data obtained from the lab; drafting plans and figures for project reports; developing data tables and site figures based on field information and lab data; using computer programs to manage data in order to highlight trends and prepare project figures; working with senior technical and scientific/engineering staff to develop project work plans and prepare summary reports of work.   • The ideal candidate will possess 3 or more years experience; formal training in environmental technology or a related field; strong communication and computing skills; and demonstrated proficiency in field sampling methods.
  • The preferred individual is someone who is highly motivated and self-sufficient; who is eager to become part of a dynamic field and office based team.
  • The successful candidate will work directly with senior technical and scientific/engineering staff. Responsibilities will include: sample collection; assisting with site investigations and remediation programs; managing field and laboratory data; CAD drafting. GIS experience would be an asset.
  • This position requires some travel. A valid driver’s licence and use of a personal vehicle is required.

Project Engineer / Geoscientist  
This position offering is for a fully qualified environmental engineer or geoscientist who will assume a lead role in our project delivery team. The anticipated duties of this position include: developing and executing project plans; consulting with senior technical and scientific/engineering staff about best approaches and data interpretations; working with in-house staff and external resources to ensure efficient and high quality delivery of projects dealing with contaminant delineation, brownfields remediation, groundwater resource evaluation; developing sampling programs in consultation with field staff; interpretation of field and laboratory data; preparing project budgets, schedules, proposals, and reports; critical evaluation of field and laboratory methods; developing interpretations of contaminant impacts, contaminant fate & transport; providing site remediation recommendations.   • The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors or graduate degree in environmental science/engineering combined with more than 4 years of related work experience.
  • This position requires someone with excellent communication and analytical skills, and who is willing to work a flexible work schedule, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. We are looking for individuals with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain multiple project schedules and deadlines.
  • The preferred individual is someone who is highly motivated and self-sufficient; who is eager to become part of a dynamic field and office based team.
  • Relevant field experience, current computer skills, and P.Geo. or P.Eng. eligibility are required.
  • This position requires some travel. A valid driver’s licence and use of a personal vehicle is required.
