Malroz Down Under
Kathryn Kitney attended the 10th Biennial Meeting of the Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits (SGA) from August 17-20, 2009, to present her Master's thesis project in Townsville, Australia. The presentation, titled "Structural, Mineralogical, Geochemical and Geochronological Investigation of the Barry Gold Deposit, Abitibi Subprovince Canada: Precisely Dated Greenstone-Hosted Mineralization Coeval with Late Archean Deformation and Magmatism", won Kathryn an award for best student presentation at the conference. Kathryn is currently finishing a paper on the subject which will be submitted to the journal of Economic Geology.
