Malroz Presents Update on Air Regulations to Annual Meeting of Environment Health Safety Officers

Malroz recently participated in an Environment Health and Safety conference in Vancouver hosted by a multi-national manufacturing company.  Our presentation provided an update on air pollution regulations in Canada and the US.

Amendments to the air pollution regulations are becoming increasingly stringent and it is anticipated that this will continue to be the case in Ontario and elsewhere in Canada.  Recent changes in Ontario (O.Reg. 419/05) have mandated the use of advanced computerized air dispersion models and incorporated much stricter limits for contaminants.  Increased regulation has been followed by increased enforcement, as a result facilities with industrial/commercial air emissions must increasingly justify their emissions.

Malroz has assisted clients in obtaining environmental compliance approvals (ECAs) for their air emissions as the regulations have evolved.  Malroz works  with clients to implement air testing, model process emissions and to modify equipment and/or operational procedures to achieve compliance in an efficient manner.
